The lake is within 3 hours of Xian (thanks to the newly completed Xi Kang Highway) and will be similarly accessible from Chongqing and Chengdu upon the completion of more connecting superhighways in the next two years. This lake has the potential to become a major attraction for city dwellers in these surrounding cities, as well as on a national level. Five islands situated in the middle of this lake are soon to be available for purchase. Suggested developments include a five star hotel, residential towers, mini-port plus boating facilities, shopping and entertainment venues, and restaurant facilities. Roads are being paved to this pristine mountainous lake location, and it is certain to be a major destination for the affluent of the surrounding regions. These islands will be sold for approximately 65 million RMB.
